The Unfinished Story of VPL is a product of the VPL-Network. This Network focuses specifically on organisations, institutions, policy makers, etc. who are in the position to use Valuation Prior Learning procedures and instruments in their own practice or to stimulate other organisations to do so. The Network-VPL hopes to reach the European citizen so that they learn to use the VPL-systematics to create and stimulate their own opportunities in society.

The CEN Workshop Agreement "European e-Competence Framework", consisting of the framework as well as the accompanying user guidelines, was approved in October 2008 and has been published in digital brochure format.

The European e-Competence Framework (e-CF) is a reference framework of 32 ICT competences that can be used and understood by ICT user and supply companies, the public sector, educational and social partners across Europe. The framework provides an international tool for:

• ICT practitioners and managers, with clear guidelines for their competence development
• Human resources managers, enabling the anticipation and planning of competence requirements
• Education and training, enabling effective planning and design of ICT curricula
